SSB Course 1 Week
An intensive SSB preparation program for candidates who want focused training in a shorter duration without missing the essential parts of the SSB process.
Course focus:
– Psychology, GTO, Interview, OIR & PP&DT

– GTO ground practice
– Clear guidance on individual improvement areas

Alpha Lead Method

OIR Practice: Verbal and non-verbal reasoning practice to improve speed, accuracy and confidence for screening.
PP&DT Preparation: Story writing, narration and group discussion practice to help candidates express clearly and participate effectively.
Psychology Tests: TAT, WAT, SRT and Self-Description training with feedback on thought process, response quality and personality projection.
GTO Tasks: Indoor and outdoor GTO practice including GD, GPE, Lecturette, PGT, HGT, Command Task and related group tasks.
Personal Interview: PIQ-based preparation, mock interviews and guidance to help candidates answer with clarity, honesty and confidence.
Conference Guidance: Final review, individual feedback and guidance on how to carry improvement into the actual SSB process.
Training Philosophy
At Alpha Lead, every candidate is trained with a clear purpose. We first assess the candidate’s present level, then train through structured SSB sessions, GTO tasks, psychology practice and mock interviews.
Our mentors observe performance, give honest feedback and guide candidates on specific improvement areas. The focus is not on memorised answers, but on helping each candidate perform with clarity, confidence and authenticity.

Group Captain Abhinav Chaturvedi
Former Indian Air Force Officer | DIPR-trained SSB Psychologist | Qualified Flying Instructor | Kargil Star Recipient
Group Captain Abhinav Chaturvedi brings decades of defence service and more than a decade of SSB assessment experience to Alpha Lead Academy.
Trained at the Defence Institute of Psychological Research, he has served as an SSB Psychologist and has closely assessed candidates for officer-like qualities, personality traits and selection-board expectations.
At Alpha Lead, he mentors aspirants through structured preparation, honest feedback, personalised guidance and practical improvement for SSB and defence career selection.
Group Captain Manoj Dayal
A highly experienced Interviewing Officer with over a decade of service as an assessor at the Services Selection Board. DIPR-trained and deeply familiar with the SSB process, he brings clarity, precision and practical insight into candidate assessment and personal interview preparation.
Colonel Surendranath
An experienced Group Testing Officer with extensive tenure at the Services Selection Board. DIPR-trained and known for his practical approach, he guides candidates in ground tasks, group dynamics, problem-solving and solution-oriented thinking required for success at the SSB.
Wg Cdr Rajagopal
A highly experienced Group Testing Officer from the Indian Air Force with over a decade of hands-on SSB assessment experience. He specialises in developing practical thinking, group effectiveness, clarity of response and confidence in candidates facing GTO tasks.
Dr Gajendran Scientist ‘F’
A distinguished former Scientist ‘F’ with over three decades of experience in officer selection and psychological assessment. He brings deep behavioural insight to help candidates build a positive mindset, self-awareness, emotional balance and solution-oriented personality.
